Criterios editoriales - Editorial Criteria
Artículos y entrevistas:
Los trabajos que se envíen a Intersecciones pueden estar escritos en español o en inglés. Deben tener una extensión máxima de 7000 palabras (notas incluidas; bibliografía excluida) y la página debe estar formateada como sigue: márgenes de 1 pulgadas (o 2,54cm), font Times New Roman cuerpo 12, interlineado doble. En la primera página deben constar:
- Título y eventual subtítulo
- Nombre y apellido(s) del investigador/a
- Afiliación institucional (si cabe)
- Resumen en español y en inglés de máximo 250 palabras
- Entre tres y cinco palabras claves
El sistema de citas que se adopta es el que consta en la edición más reciente del manual de estilo de la MLA, consultable gratuitamente aquí.
Los apartados deben estar numerados consecutivamente con números árabes (1, 2, 3, …). El título de los apartados debe ir en negrita, en Times New Roman cuerpo 12.
Las notas, en Times New Roman, cuerpo 10, interlineado simple, van al pie de la página y numeradas consecutivamente con números árabes (1, 2, 3, …). La numeración irá en superíndice y siempre antes del signo de puntuación.
- Las entrevistas siguen las mismas normas de los artículos y:
- Se requiere una introducción del entrevistado y, si cabe, una breve narrativa sobre el contexto de la entrevista (café, despacho universitario, congreso, etc.)
- Las preguntas deben estar claramente reconocibles, con lo cual se requiere que utilice el italic para evidenciarlas
- Las obras u obra del entrevistado que se quieran mencionar deberán estar con título escrito por extenso en italic y entre paréntesis la editorial y año de publicación
Reseñas:
Intersecciones acepta reseñas de libros científicos, novelas, poemarios, catálogos de exposiciones, etc., que tengan relevancia en el ámbito de los estudios hispánicos. Los libros y las exposiciones reseñadas deben haberse publicado/realizado no más tarde de dos años anteriores a la salida del número (Por ej.: para el número del 2022 se aceptan reseñas de trabajos referentes a los años 2020, 2021 y 2022).
- Las reseñas no deberán superar las 1200 palabras y la página debe estar formateada como sigue: márgenes de 1 pulgadas (o 2,54cm), font Times New Roman cuerpo 12, interlineado doble. En la primera página debe constar:
- Referencia del objeto de la reseña acorde la última edición del manual de estilo de la MLA, completa de ISBN y DOI (si disponible)
- Nombre y apellido(s) del autor de la reseña y, si cabe, su afiliación institucional
- Las únicas notas que pueden incluir las reseñas son bibliográficas.
- Las reseñas no admiten bibliografía final.
Notas críticas:
Intersecciones es una publicación académica que, sin embargo, coherentemente con su espíritu de romper barreras, aboga también para la crítica libre de las formalidades académicas. Por ello, se aceptan notas críticas que traten argumentos de interés iberoamericano, bien a raíz de lecturas específicas o como ensayos que quieran arrojar luz sobre temáticas relevantes para los territorios de lengua hispana y portuguesa, y que no se acomoden (por voluntad del autor o por otras circumstancias) al típico paper. Queremos que esta sección sea rigurosa, pero al mismo tiempo un espacio más libre y abierto también a quiénes no practican la escritura académica.
- Las notas críticas deben tener una extensión comprendida entre las 1200 y las 3000 palabras, excluyendo la bilbiografía final
- La página debe estar formateada con márgenes de 1 pulgada, Times New Roman cuerpo 12, interlineado doble. En la primera página debe constar:
- Título del ensayo y autor del mismo, con eventual afiliación académica/profesional (si no hay afiliación, poner "investigador independiente")
- Un breve abstracto de máx. 150 palabras
- Para citas y bibliografía se remite a la última edición del manual MLA para las notas de literatura y estudios culturales; APA para las notas de lingüística, sociología y antropología (y campos afines)
Cuentos y poemas:
Intersecciones está comprometida con la difusión de obras creativas por parte de autores hispánicos, sean las obras escritas en inglés o español.
Los cuentos deberán tener una extensión que no supere las 7000 palabras y la página debe estar formateada como sigue: márgenes de 1 pulgadas (o 2,54cm), font Times New Roman cuerpo 12, interlineado doble. En la primera página debe constar:
- Título (y subtítulo) del cuento
- Nombre y apellido del autor
Los poemas deberán tener una extensión máxima de 20 cuartillas y la página debe estar formateada como sigue: márgenes de 1 pulgadas (o 2,54cm), font Times New Roman cuerpo 12, interlineado doble. En la primera página debe constar:
- Título (y subtítulo) del poema/poemario
- Nombre y apellido del autor
- El tema de cuentos y poemas es libre, a no ser especificado de otra manera en el call for papers.
Fotografía y dibujos:
Fotografías y dibujos se deben enviar en formato digital en dos archivos, de alta y de baja resolución. Carta trabajo visual debe estar acompañado del nombre y apellido(s) del autor, su eventual afiliación a escuelas de arte o colectivos, una breve didascalia (si se quiere) y un texto de 500 palabras (máx..) en Times New Roman 12, interlineado doble, que introduzca la obra y facilite su fruición.
Articles and interviews:
Papers submitted to Intersecciones may be written in Spanish or English. They must have a maximum length of 7000 words (notes included, bibliography excluded) and the page must be formatted as follows: margins of 1 inch (or 2.54cm), Times New Roman 12-point font, double line spacing. The first page should contain:
- Title and eventual subtitle
- Name and surname(s) of the researcher
- Institutional affiliation (if possible)
- Abstract in Spanish and English with a maximum of 250 words
- Between three and five keywords
The sections must be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, ...). The title of the sections should be in bold, in Times New Roman 12-point font.
The notes, in Times New Roman, 10-point font, single-line spacing, which go at the bottom of the page and numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, ...). The numbering will be in superscript and always before the punctuation mark.
Interviews follow the same rules as the articles and:
- An introduction of the interviewee is required and, if possible, a brief narrative about the context of the interview (café, university office, congress, etc.)
- Questions must be clearly recognizable, requiring you to use italic to evidence them
- The works or work of the interviewee that you want to mention must be with a title written at length in italic and in parentheses the publisher and year of publication
Reviews:
Intersecciones accepts reviews of scientific books, novels, poetry books, exhibition catalogs, etc., that have relevance in the field of Hispanic studies. Books and exhibitions reviewed must have been published/made no later than two years prior to the release of the issue (E.g., for the 2022 issue, reviews of works relating to the years 2020, 2021 and 2022 are accepted).
- Reviews should not exceed 1200 words and the page should be formatted as follows: 1-inch margins (or 2.54cm), Times New Roman 12-point font, double line spacing. The first page should contain:
- Reference of the object of the review according to the latest edition of the MLA manual of style, complete of ISBN and DOI (if available)
- Name and surname(s) of the author of the review and, if possible, their institutional affiliation
- The only notes that reviews can include are bibliographical.
- Reviews do not admit final bibliography.
Short stories and poems:
Intersecciones is committed to the dissemination of creative works by Hispanic authors, whether works written in English or Spanish.
Stories must have a maximum length of 7000 words and the page must be formatted as follows: margins of 1 inch (or 2.54cm), Times New Roman 12-point font, double line spacing. The first page should contain:
- Title (and subtitle) of the story
- Name and surname of the author
- Title (and subtitle) of the poem/collection of poems
- Name and surname of the author
- The subject of stories and poems is free, unless otherwise specified in the call for papers.
Photographs and drawings must be sent in digital format in two files, high and low resolution. Visual work letter must be accompanied by the name and surname(s) of the author, his eventual affiliation to art schools or collectives, a brief didascalia (if you like) and a text of 500 words (max..) in Times New Roman 12-point font, double line spacing, which introduces the work and facilitates its fruition.
